Cool story inside.....made some money at the range ;)
So i'm trying to get my g/f involved in golf and i'm giving her lessons. She is doing OK, i need to get here a training grip as she likes to move her grip after i get it perfect lol. Anyway we were done hitting balls (For her) and i started hitting some.
Lately i've been in really good control of my game as you could tell by my other post here and finally being able to swing and hit at will. So let me paint a picture:
Our range is covered in some type of astroturf with greens that are colored darker at certain spots. With a flag in the middle. The one i practice at a lot is the 160 yard flag in the middle of that particular green. I like it cuz 150-160 comes up a lot and its good to practice that yardage. Also, the front of the green is 150 and the flag is 160.
So they recently put up some "signs" that say, 150-180-200-250 at certain parts of the range. So i told my g/f that i was going to hit the 150 flag within 5 balls. I do it within 3 Guy next to me goes, bet you can't do that again. I asked, "how much?" He goes, "$20." I said, "ok i do it 5 times within 15 balls." He goes, "your on!"
So i proceed to hit the sign SEVEN TIMES!!!!! With 2 more just missing. 3 were "swinging" and 4 were "hitting." This guy's jaw was on the ground! He said, "you give lessons to people besides your g/f?!"
I told him i can't because i'll lose my amatuer status for taking money. He said, ok. I'll get you some more balls then. So i helped him for like 30min, turned him from a big hooker of the ball (flipping at it with a bent left wrist) to someone that actually started taking divots and hitting a small draw. He was estatic.
At the end, he goes..."Here's $40, practice all you want."

LOL....i bet i couldn't do it again if i tried. Just one of those days when you're feeling it. Kinda like when you get in the zone and just keep draining shots in basketball.

1) i didn't hit the sign on the fly everytime....a couple "bounced" into it
2) the signs were probably about 20-30 wide and about 10-12 feet off the ground i'm guessing. I can ask next time i'm there
3) No, i didn't tell him about TGM, but i did use it to help him with some problems.
