Torso Length Anatomy questions

Ok , I got a pretty embarassing issue. My Torso Length apparently is Longer than average. and I got short legs.

No wonder i never won anything running, Jogging, or walking.. :crybaby: :crybaby:

A question for profesionals,
What do I have to do differently eg. like stand further , closer, more upright plane etc to achieve better dynamics in golf. Can somebody stereotype a little for me?.. or is there not much of a difference ?

Thank you very much and have an excellent day..!

You just need to enter more walking tournaments nuke! No one can win every one of them, there is just too much talent. The best walker in the world only wins 2% of the time. Hang in there!

I'll respond, seems you and are are in the same boat. I am 6'0", but only have a 31" inseam. As for the stance, I find that I have to stand more upright than others my height. Because of the long torso, it doesn't take much bending to get to 45* real easy. In my case the swing plane looks 'flat-ish' but my hands are on the turned shoulder plane.

I also have short legs and have always fought pull/hooks. I found that standing more upright and choking down a bit helped, but I didn't feel comfortable. After a fitting session with Jeff Hull (golfgnome), he fit me to clubs that were 4 degrees flat. Now I can get better results than standing more upright, and in a more comfortable waist bend position. Today was the first time I played with my newly bent clubs (77 degrees in Indiana today!!!!), and I didn't fight that pull/hook for the first time in a long time. Now I have to learn to trust that a full roll / horizontal hinge will hit it straight instead of left!

You should be able to find all your alignments at your proper impact fix, if your golf clubs will allow that!!!

I really believe impact fix often gets overlooked in the grand scheme of things, not only for impact alignment verification, but for the look, look, look and burning the image in your mind, even if you have yet to achieve the right alignments dynamically yet, you know where you want to go.

Very good point. I will pay special attention to Impact Fix.

7-8. THE FIX

"A further advantage of a separate and clearly defined Impact position is that the players have presented, right before them exactly what they will be striving to achieve at Impact. Not mearly a vague apporximation of the Clubface alignment, but the exact relationship of every single Component. And the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the correct appearance and the correct Feel. And Fix them in mind with more and more precision, especially regarding the Hands."

Thank you for the reply!

Question regarding choices of plane.

Which is more suitable for "bulky players" with long torso.

Elbow plane, or Turned shoulder plane? Or this is not the deciding factor?

I swing. and so far still prefer turned shoulder plane and Standard shoulder turn..

I just haven't got the knack of doing Elbow/turn shoulder plane on Rotated shoulder turn... It seem if that is my choice, i have to bend the irons few deg flat again.
