Golfers Elbow
I have developed a bad case of "golfers elbow", (medial epicondylitis). I am a swinger and have been trying to keep my right arm out of my swing, but I suspect I am becoming a "switter". It seems most people who have elbow problems have pain in the outer area of the elbow, but mine is on the inside. Can you comment on the likely cause, i.e. poor techique, that is causing this?
Also, I know an elbow strap won't cure the problem, but would it help to stop any further damage? |
Probable Cause
I touched on the subject in the last section of this thread.
http://www.lynnblakegolf.com/forum/s...ead.php?t=5617 Its cause is overuse of an active right arm. |

These stretches helped me: http://forums.jpfitness.com/training...-elbows.html#3 that's for tennis elbow. The stretch for golfer's elbow is basically reverse of that; he mentions it here: http://forums.jpfitness.com/training...-elbows.html#7 |
Thanks.
I appreciate the comments. One thing I have become aware of from reading the links is that I have been swinging with very firm wrists in an attempt to keep a flat left wrist. So, it sounds like I should be getting my right arm out of the swing and then keep my wrists flexible. Correct?
