I visited "the swamp" for a memorable two days last week. After a brunch at Cracker Barrel...and did I feel like a barrel! Got to the swamp and the revelation began. Yoda and Ted(Yodasluke)were amazing. I had certain reservations having heard of Lynn's (Yodas)reputation from the pro's (by reputation I mean GOOD) but I thougt it may be a bit below such Instructors to teach a 19 handicap hacker!! I had two days with Lynn -felt like 4 hours-I was so concentrated, I felt after I'd left like I'd been unsociable. But the 7 hours of video -the DVD that Lynn gave me and most of all the time we spent together I will never forget!! How can I? There's too much to learn-well not too much ..the fog has lifted on so many things. YODA & TED are the best, so talented, so enthusiastic, so patient and VERY funny....So for the price of 4 months range balls...after a day "you may suddenly realise you are now actually doing what you always thought you were doing"

Bottom line is, Yoda is the best instructor I have ever seen or heard. I am currently a 23 index and I left feeling like I was allready a 15 index (my goal for this year)...and I haven't even played a round this year!! Yoda and Ted (YodasLuke) are two of the nicest guys you will ever meet, and they sincerely take an interest in your improvement...not just filling time till the next lesson. When I was hitting the best drives of my life on Friday night, Yoda was smiling more than I was!!!

Thanks Yoda!
I can say that I have crawled out of the swamp, risen above the fog to the foot of the mountain. I have climbed that mountain, I have met Yoda. For 3 days and 2 nights, sun, rain and wind, I have undergone the transformation, have seen the light, and HEARD the truth.

As many some may recall soon after Yoda made his appearance on the internet golf forums, he did a Make Over. I was the subject of the make over. It was an experience of a lifetime. In all fairness I believe that Yoda's knowledge and understanding of The Golfing Machine is only exceeded by his ability to communicate it and HE IS UNDOUBTABLY In My Opinion WITHOUT PEER. Mr Homer Kelly would be proud and is probably smiling everytime Yoda speaks of G.O.L.F.

Immediately after meeting with Yoda, I think I clearly heard that maybe 2 1/2 days might not be enough time. But quickly we got into it. After review my golf stroke, Yoda quickly identified a long list (20 plus items) of issues. The Good News here is yoda tells me, that once I get right the reasonably few Mission Critical Alignments, a host of Stroke-plaguing positions and Motions simply evaporate. And he does mean evaporate -- as in 'gone...never to be seen again' -- unless, of course, I deliberately recall them for purposes of demonstration.

As Yoda says "The Golf Stroke is a set of precision Mechanics executed by human Feel. The Mechanics are the stuff of science. The Execution -- the human element -- is the stuff of art.

Golf Instruction is also an art. The competent teacher can 'see' through the numerous problems and determine the root errors. Student and teacher then work together to correct each error in the proper sequence. Only in this manner can there be sustained and permanent progress. It does little good to focus on an error that itself is the product of an error. Again, when change is correctly sequenced, many 'downstream' errors cease to exist. Those that remain are targeted as priority dictates and time allows."

We started out with what is the golf stroke, to the setup alignments, Impact Fix, Flying Wedges, Right Forearm. From there it was no club drill time. Dowels, rubber band, paddles, and yes dowel rods.
Yoda can quote The Golfing Machine Chapter, paragraph and sentence, he can demonstrate it, he can provide a variety of descriptions to communicate the concepts, the components, the alignments. At the end although I had problems recalling the correct terms, I could in fact do it. I can hit or swing on demand and know ahead of time which one I am going to do....

In truth and fairness, I can honestly say that the golf I am currently experiencing is unlike anything I have experienced before. To borrow a phrase or quote -

It is a GOLF Stroke I have not known before .......

Yoda is carrying the legacy of The Golfing Machine!!!

Words really can't express my appreciation, thanks and the respect I have so.....

Good Golfing, Martee

I am just posting to say what an amazing experience I had this weekend with an amazing individual and teacher. I have never had the confidence to "pull" off different shots during a tournament. Now I have the confidence to work the ball as well as have the luxury of inner confidence knowing if I follow my routine a good shot will follow! My Dad wants to thank you as well. We will look forward to a long relationship in golf. Thanks again and good luck- we will keep in touch.

"The Best Instruction I've Ever Had"
After struggling a bit with the book and my game, I made the decision in December '04 to travel to Atlanta and get a 1:1 lesson with Lynn. It was the best thing I've ever done for my game. I have never met a more generous and enthusiastic golf instructor. Lynn's enthusiasm is apparent and very contagious. And rightly so! He has helped my game tremendously. I've gone from struggling to stay in the 80's to routinely shooting in the 70's. The added bonus being I've made a great friend!
