I don't mean to change the subject of this post, but Yoda, tell us how you came across the golfing machine and your decision to contact Homer!
I discovered TGM through Golf Illustrated’s July 1991 issue with the feature story on Tom Tomasello.

DG,
Thanks for your comment on my post; I enjoyed writing it.
In answer to your question, I'll first quote from my recent post in the forum 24Basic Components / Hinge Action -- a Primer
"My first contact with Homer Kelley was by telephone in the summer of1981. And the reason for that contact was simple: I had begun studying TheBook, and there was no way I could figure out what that woman in 10-10 wasdoing with all that armor on her arm and shoulder! Well, by the grace of Godand with Homer's help, I finally got it."
I knew Tommy Tomasello, the subject of the Golf Illustrated article youmentioned, for about ten years before we both encountered The GolfingMachine. That encounter was in the summer of 1981 and was the result of theGolf World feature article on Bobby Clampett and his relationship withBen Doyle and The Golfing Machine.
Tommy was about twenty years my senior, but the age difference was no barrier. We studied together, hit balls together, played golf together, sufferedtogether, and rejoiced together. In fact, the above telephone call to Homer wasmade from Tommy's living room. We were both seekers of the Holy Grail of Golfand we were elated to have found it.
He went one way -- in golf -- and I went another -- in finance. We both madethe right decision.
