The putting dvd, I agree, is worth the price of the whole set. Fifty years playing golf, 30 years as a PGA Professional, and NEVER have I heard or read anyone explain putting the way it is explained by Lynn and VJ. Having said all that, my putting (indoor only) has still been mediocre at best. Until just now...in addition to incorporating a more active right forearm in my start-up, and doin' my best to trace the line with my right forearm down the line, my results have been spotty. However, this morning I added a new wrinkle...at address, I began to aim my putter sight lines toward the inside aft quadrant of the ball, and trying to then strike the inside aft quadrant, with my right forearm going down the line. The result is ball after ball after ball going in the hole DEAD CENTER from 7-8 feet. I know this is indoors, no pressure, etc. , BUT ,this is amazing for my eyes to see... balls rolling into the hole time after time. This from a guy who, many years ago as an assistant, played in a local tournament at Oakmont CC, 36 holes on a Monday, hitting 34 greens in regulation and shooting 81-83. I no longer compete, but I still want to play good golf, and part of good golf is "rolling the rock"...Thanks again, Lynn!

What a wonderful post, dss. You've made my day. Thank you!
"...Proud Mary keeps on..." Oh well, you get the point of the song, which is this, as it relates to my first post, dated Jan 21: I have continued to practice what I learned from the DVD. Mind you, this practice has been entirely indoors. 3-4 footers on the living room carpet at home and 8-9 footers on a simulated putting green at work, which is very flat and very smooth and fast. I would estimate that I have struck perhaps 350- 400 putts. Let's just say 400...anyway, out of 400, I have missed....2. Please re-read my first post, and then re-read my last sentence. 2...out of 400. That is 398 MADE. I don't care if it is indoors and doesn't "mean anything". I am rolling the ball into the hole and verifying it by sight and feel every time. And many many of these putts are going in dead center. This is truly remarkable.
Watch the DVD again and again...watch, absorb, incubate. You will be rewarded, I promise.

That is fantastic Dave. The fact your are indoors makes no difference to my mind. Its the outdoor grass with its vagaries that make things less precise.
Your stroke is sound indoors and out now. Harvey Pennick I believe did a lot his putting lessons on the rug at home after dinner. Homer putted a well worn carpet remnant.
You must be looking forward to getting out there in the spring.

Wow, Dave. You've got me excited! As the camera rolled, I knew we had something special, and I'm delighted to know it's made such a difference for you. After all, that was our purpose.
Meanwhile, after hearing of your results and with the wife in South Florida taking care of her Mom, I'm pullin' out the DVD and watching it myself!
I have had less time to practice ( darn work keeps getting in the way ) lately, and when I have, the results have been less than stellar. My misses from the 8-9 ft. range have increased to about 30%, I would guess. Lots of frustration, because, as we all know, it is difficult to correct yourself when you have the worst seat in the house. Anyway, today I putted for awhile, and realised that I had slipped back into a 'half arm, half shoulder stroke'. As soon as I eliminated the 'arm' and 'went overboard' on the shoulder motion, the ball started going in, dead center, time after time. Diligence is key. Also, I have found it MUCH easier to putt well using a belly putter versus a conventional length. I think it is much easier to align the right forearm using a longer putter.
