Forward press drill to start backswing?
This is my first post, so please forgive me if I'm asking this in the wrong forum. Gary Player used to start his back swing with a forward press of the right knee. Others I've seen, forward press using the wrists, from the address position (not to be confused with 'impact fix' per 7-9). A search on this site for 'forward press' only mentioned it (http://www.lynnblakegolf.com/forum/s...earchid=364579) but did not show a method or drill. Thanks in advance.

Btw I'm an older golfer who swings like Tomasello.

do another search but this time use the words "impact fix".

Hopefully that'll help you find what you want.

You obviously didn't read what I said. Let me add (7- The Fix .. "Move back and forth between Address and Fix until you see that. That difference separates Pro and Hacker."

All I'm pointing out is that Address is not Fix. Do you make a forward press from 'impact fix'? Of course not.

My apologies, it appears that I was mistaken. The Forward Press IS described at the top of page 51 (6th Edition) - so I guess the waggle (most pronounced by Mike Weir) is more fitting - as a prelude to the start of the swing. The waggle is also shown in pics 9-2-3 #2 and #3 (6th edition).

But it can be LW, it can be.

you have 3 choices

1 fix (FLW/BRW)
2 adjusted address (half way between fix/classic)
3 classic address (BLW/FRW)
