Pp2 & Pp3
Hello,

I´m a swinger and I try to keep my mind in the hands. But I find it difficult to focus on both pp2 and pp3 at the same time. Have you guys the same problem or is it just me?

Hi Per,
For what it is worth, I've been converting to hitting and try to focus on 1 and 3. When I think 2, I get in big doo-doo. But with the two I focus on, I try to think of a straight line down the thumb/heel connection (#1) and the #3 connecton to the grip/shaft. I try to slowly accelerate/push the shaft through the ball, kind of like a wrist shot in hockey. It is beginning to work.
Good luck with swinging.

Focus does not equal pressure. I swing and concentrate on pp#2. At the top of the swing I make sure that pp#2 is intact by placing pressure on the last three fingers of the left hand as I prepare to roll per 12-3. If that happens, #3 takes care of itself. I cannot think of the book section, but #2 is an important focus for a swinger. I have had very little success focusing on #3.

LOL, I can vouch for that. Hitting and impact address through you into G.O.L.F. ruination!

As a swinger, PP#2 feel is something that is a natural result of the loading.

Think 'left hand karate chop' on the plane. If you've got the left palm facing the plane, you'll feel #2 load.

the swinger loads the left wrist - PP#2 - on the plane. (right palm is on the plane)

the hitter loads the right arm - PP#1 - across the plane. (plane is 'through' the right palm)

for the swinger, PP#3 is rotated, so you'll feel it more at the top/end, as it loads it will feel like it is between the thumb and forefinger of the right hand.

As PP#4 pulls during the startdown, you'll feel the load through the entire left arm, literally like there is a line drawn down your left arm (a tailor measuring you for a jacket), and into the left wrist (pp#2), and finally at the right forefinger/thumb (PP#3).

no kidding Kev, thankfully you know swinging too and realized basic address fit a whole lot better. As long as the flywheel is cranking I can play. Interesting on how even on short pitches impact hands at address gave me the shanks. As long as I maintain the pressure in pp#2, I have been doing ok.
