Should the uncocking of the left wrist be a conscious action, or left to CF?
CF should uncock the left wrist for swinging per 2-P last para.
In 4-0 Mr Kelly recommends a firm grip and flexible wrists.
A firm grip prevents distortion of the clubface on off-center hits as well as added support on on center hits.
Flexible wrists allow CF to uncock #2 Accumulator and roll #3 accumulator. Stiff wrists, well they don't allow CF to be "Master and Commander".
Train yourself to have a firm grip and flexible wrists, its not impossible and it is necessary for the master says..."Very few are the mistakes and troubles of a golfer that do not stem from faulty Hands."
You still have to read those mag's to keep up with what is happening in teaching and chuckle!!!
Although some inroads are being made, machine heads will recoginize this in some articles. TGM is working into the mainstream, although you still see it applied incorrectly in some instances!!
Feel like you never un-cock, even if we are using seq. release for Swinger, should let the CF to take care of it.
No matter you are using right arm thrust (hitting) or Blast off action (Swinging). The left arm should be FEEL passive until the hinge action.
The left palm is towards the plane in the downstroke and uncocks towards the plane line prior to the wrist roll no.3 acc. For a maximum trigger delay you will make the downstroke as if you were never going to release the no.2 angle at all and at the last moment you are forced to release it.
However to train the proper sequenced release you must mechanically do this at first. Uncock on the line and then roll also on the line .... first with a full sweep release....
Great swingers just hold on to it using their hands to monitor their alignments as the pivot drives....

Mathew,
How did you "progress" to max trigger delay? I've always felt my swing employed max delay for the most part, but tonite I really (and I mean really) tried to see if I could get my hands to go way past the ball before the release happened. Lo and behold it seemed like I was getting a little more ball compression, particularly if I attempted to put a full "roll" on it after impact. I've always felt I had a tendency to "drag" the hands a little too far into the impact area, but I'm beginning to think that if you REALLY trust CF, then you probably can't get too "deep" without the hands uncocking and rolling properly. Do you have that feeling of "never releasing it" when you employ max delay? Do you feel like you work to get the back of the left hand "pointing to the ground" post impact or is that too happening naturally for you?
