Fewer emergencies! It takes alot less work to be a Swinger (we are talking about the golfing kind). Not that Swingers don't have problems of their own.
One of the problems with Swinging is giving up control and letting Centrifugal Force do its work. With Hitting, you are "the captain of your own ship".
I think I heard Dr. Yoda mention Mr. Kelley say that you could practically sleep while swinging.
There are more new Hitters here and it's harder to learn. Plus, they are always fighting the fade, which costs distance, and length is already compromised by not using CF.

That's right, Drew. Just Crank the Gyroscope (of the Circling Club) with Instant Acceleration Hip Action, then hang on and let Centrifugal Force do the rest!
Homer Kelley also said that once the Hitter's alignments were learned, Swinging was "like shooting ducks in a pond." That's because Hitting teaches the player the mission-critical alignments and how to maintain them throughout the Stroke.
