I have the pleasure of working with a young man who is well on his way to becoming an outstanding junior player. I began working with David Baker of Weddington, NC (age 9). Aside from being a great player, David is an exceptional young man with perfect manners and a straight "A" student.
In the 10-11 age division last year, David won 21 tournaments and was awarded Overall Player of the Year in the National Junior Golf Club series. David also qualified for the US Kids World Championship in Myrtle Beach last year and is already qualified for this year. David has been ranked as high as 4th in the nation in his age group. His low round last year was a 66 on his (summer) home course from the ladies tees.
Scoring this year has been as follows: 1/6(157)2nd - 1/27(162)2nd - 2/2(150)1st - 2/10(161)5th - 2/24(152)1st - 3/9(112)27 holes 1st - 3/16(113)27 holes 1st - 4/20(151)4th - 5/4(151)1st - 5/10(161)5th - 6/12(70)1st - 6/19(76)1st - 6/25(71)1st - 6/27(70)1st
David is not big and is not long off the tee, but always finishes with the ball he started with and manages his game well. We are working on some strength building which includes stress ball squeezing to build up hand, wrist and forearm strength as well as a small weight with rope on a dowel to roll up and down. We are also working on anything to develop leg strength. I expect to see David's length improve in the next couple of years as his swing is very structurally sound.

Congratulations, bond007, on your tutelage of this budding talent. Sounds like a lot of talent applying sound concepts!
I am a bit confused by the above quote. How old is David now? Was he nine years old when you began working together or is he nine now?
