Myfirst contact with Homer Kelley was by telephone in the summer of 1981. And thereason for that contact was simple: I had begun studying The Book, and therewas no way I could figure out what that woman in 10-10 was doing with all thatarmor on her arm and shoulder! Well, by the grace of God and withHomer's help, I finally got it.
Unfortunately, present day Seekers do not have theadvantage I did. And that is why I am now posting on this site. I suspect thatmany of you "out there" are in the same predicament now as I was"way back then." If that is the case, then this is your chance!
Don't hold back because you are new to The GolfingMachine, or because you are not yet comfortable with "the lingo,"or because you spend your site time merely lurking about, trying to make senseof it all. Get involved! As Homer would say, "Fly atit!" You can't believe how ignorant I was at one time with this stuff!Homer had me -- by telephone mind you -- Pivoting my body first to the rightand then to the left; moving my Arm first North, then South; all the whilekeeping my Flat Left Wrist vertical first to"this" Plane and then tothat one. After 45 minutes or so, we mutually decided that maybe we should justgive it a rest and try again later!
The Hinge Action is one the Three Imperatives andis responsible for the Clubface Alignment through Impact. Prettyimportant, wouldn't you say? You need to understand this upside down, backwardsand forwards, and inside out. When that's done, we can move on to somethingelse. [For example, the Clubhead Lag, which I've found almost nobody trulyunderstands. They think they do, but they don't. But that will be a separatethread.]
So, once and for all, let's clear The Fog on thissubject. I'll soon write a reasonably definitive post, and to help me do this, Iwant you to tell me, by posting on this thread what questions you haveabout Hinge Action that you want answered. All I ask is that you write cleanlyand neatly and be definitive in your questions. I don't want to have to decipheryour posts.
After I get a handle on the "Fog Level," I'llwrite my piece and we'll go from there.
All ahead 1/3, this Starship is leaving the station!
