Q School.

The 'Fall Classic'.

The means employed by the PGA TOUR to determine who will work next year and who will not.

No time for feint hearts or queasy stomachs.

One purpose.

One focus.

On this day, the final round of six, Jim Renner stood tall.

Sunday evening, on rounds of 72-68-73-69-67, he ranked #27, two slots distant from the Top 25 who would receive their cards on the morrow. Today, in a cold, blustery wind and under the most intense pressure, Jim shot 70, moved up five spots to #22, and entered The Promised Land. http://www.pgatour.com/qschool/leaderboard/

On January 13th, 2011, he will tee it up at the Sony Open in Hawaii as a PGA TOUR 'Exempt Player'.

Wow.

A card earned.

A dream achieved.

Congratulations, Jim Renner.

And congratulations to our own 'sung' hero . . .

Drew Chapman.
